Drew Adams - Founder & Director
Before starting Laurel Path, I spent time caring for my grandmother. I cooked meals for her, kept her company, took her for walks in her wheelchair, stayed overnight, and helped with the little things around the house. She didn’t require intensive personal or medical care, but she benefited from having someone there to make everyday life a little easier.
That experience stayed with me. It showed me how much a familiar, dependable presence can mean to someone who wishes to remain in their own home.
I founded Laurel Path with that experience in mind: a small, locally rooted service built around practical assistance, companionship, and respect for each person’s independence.
I live in Black Mountain, North Carolina, where Laurel Path is based. Outside of this work, I’m a filmmaker and musician, with a particular interest in experimental cinema and the natural world.
